Creating an unmatched vending experience

In today's work environment, it is more important than ever to provide the best accommodations to your customers and employees. With remote work and hybrid models become increasingly the norm, it's critical that we create the best possible in-person experience. This increases productivity, boosts morale, and shows your customers and employees you truly care.

Today, we will walk you through some of the most important factors to keep in mind when developing a great food & drink experience for customers and employees.

1.Variety of Product

First, it's important to provide employees and customers with snacks and beverages they actually want and need. What's the point of all this if we don't give the people what they want? Providing an experience that is highly customized to your employees and customers not only makes working with your business or facility more enjoyable but creates a more intimate, and better perceived image of your business as well.

There are different ways to ensure you provide products people want such as by circulating a survey to employees within your organization for feedback or even just through simple word of mouth. Taking the time to do this shows you care and increases the chances of creating a truly personalized experience.

2.Consistently stocked and fresh product

Once we've nailed down what the people want, now we need to ensure they always have enough supply of it. Whether you've enlisted the services of another vendor or not, keeping an eye on the amount of supply and empty shelves there are is critical.

Whether you use a current vendor or not, monitoring inventory and expiration dates is crucial to keeping employees and customers happy and satisfied. Nothing is worse than old, dusty and expired product sitting in a vending machine.

3.Functioning machines

If you have vending machines in your facility, an important factor to keep in mind is how well the machines' function. Do they break down often? Do they experience lots of issues? How fast do they take to get fixed? These are all questions you should keep in mind as the amount of downtime you have with vending machines has a direct impact on your customer and employees' level of satisfaction.

While there are a number of other factors to consider, it's safe to say that if you hit all three of these points, there's a great chance you'll provide an enjoyable, consistent food and beverage experience for your employees. The direct result of this is it creates better employee productivity, boosts morale, and improves the customer experience. We will dive more into these benefits for another post.

At the end of the day, whether you provide these services in-house or through a vendor, you should always strive to create the best experience for customers and employees.
